Plot

THE MONTAGUES AND THE CAPULETS

In the beautiful day in Verona, there were two families: the Montagues and Capulets. They hated each other. They had each other for hundreds of years. One day, servants’ of the Capulets family, started a fight with a servants’ of the Montague family. But the Prince stopped the fight and threatened the two families. Then Lord Capulet organized and invite all people (except the Montagues family) the party for presentation Juliet in Paris.

THE GARDEN OF THE CAPULETS

Romeo and his friends went in the party of Capulets, because the Capulets, not saw because they bring the masks. Romeo, separates of his friends and saw Juliet and kiss him (in the room of Juliet) but the Nurse saw but said nothing. Juliet’s cousin Tybalt recognises the Montagues and they are forced to leave the party just as Romeo and Juliet have each discovered the other’s identity. Romeo lingers near the Capulet’s house and talks to Juliet when she appears on her balcony. With the help of Juliet’s Nurse the lovers arrange to meet next day

Romeo went to see Friar Laurence for organize secret wedding. Tybalt picks a quarrel with Mercutio and his friends and Mercutio is accidentally killed as Romeo, feel the fight and intervenes to try to break up the fight.

GRAN TORINO

I’d like to recommend a film which I’ve watched, called Gran Torino. The author of the film is Clint Eastwood.

The film is a drama and the setting is a neighbourhood where there are many Chinese and only one american. The main character is Wolth, the retired soldier (he’s the only person that live in this neighbourhood and his wife dead of the beginning of the film), with Thao, Mee, (chinese people) and the bad band who want to quarrel with Thao because he not want go with they.

Walt Kowalski thinks the world has gone to hell. Then an attempted theft of his Gran Torino, an unintentional act of heroism and an uneasy relationship with his despised Asian neighbours produeix in Walt towards a kind of reluctant redemption.

The things I liked most about the film were the characters and the theme of friendship. Some of the scenes are memorable because they’re really strong.

In general, I really liked the film and though it hasn’t got happy ending, I wouldn't change it. Finally, I recommend this film because It’s got a strong message and you learn things for example friendship and not to racism

I represent a group called 'Students for better Future. I am writing to you because we are concerned about plans to build a motorway in our area.

In our opinion, this motorway is a stupid plan because our town is very well communicated with the others towns and don't must other road. Also, before with the park, we were very well because before, we went to relax or chatting with our friends, or walking to dog...

We have therefore decided to take action, and we are going a protest. For this reason, we write this new and help to publicize this event

McDonald's

Hi, my name is Quim and this is my oral presentation about McDonald’s. I'm going to talk about the history of this business, about his products, and his expansion around the world, and my personal opinion about these restaurants.

All started in 1940 in San Bernardino, California, with two brothers: Richard and Maurice Mc Donalds. They opened one restaurant in San Bernardino, which made burgers in a quick time with a good quality. Then, they increased the menu and worsened the quality of the food.

The menu of these restaurant of fast food with a down price has has a high variety. McDonald’s sells Hamburgers with cheese or salad or tomato, or all together, but also sells salads, chips, nuggets, chicken, fish, ice creams, fruit, frizzi drinks... but also, there are children's menus ( happy meals) and other offers.

There are 35.000 locals of McDonald’s in 119 countries in the world.

Personally, I like McDonald’s food, especially cheeseburger and McWrap (is a kevap but of chicken). I know that this food is not healthy, but I like it! I went to McDonalds in Weymouth, in London, and I use to go in Girona and Barcelona.

POSCARD FROM MANORCA

Hi Mark

We’re having a great holiday here in Manorca. We’re staying in a hotel in the centre of Manorca. It’s got a swimming pool. There are lots of things to do. The people are very friendly, but sometimes I can’t understand them.

Last week we went to the beach in a cala and did see a shark! Manorca It’s very beautiful, and the weather is perfect and it’s very hot .

I’m having a party because it ‘s my birthday. It’s next Saturday in the bar of my dad and mum. Later, we’ll go to a disco. My friends of Mallorca and Madrid are coming to the party too.

Thanks for your message. I’m looking forward to your visit to Paris. I’ll come to airport with my mum to collect you on Monday. What time does your flight arrive?

I think you’ll like Paris. We live about 1 km from the city centre but there are buses that go into the city all the time. When you’re here there are lots of things we can do. We can go to the Eiffel’s Tower and we can walk in the Triomf’s Arc. If you like funny stories we can visit the cinemas so we can go to watch a comedy film. And of course, you’ll meet all my friends and we can play rugby.

You should bring a cap and a T-shirt. The weather here is usually hot and sunny!

Morgan Freeman is a USA actor. He was born in USA on the 1r of July in 1955. He grew up in Missisipí. He hasn't any brothers and sisters.

First, he was a soldier and then, he went to California to study Dramatic Art. In the 1967 he out in TV to did his first film, Hello Dolly and has continued both in television and film and since, including comedy, dramatic, and action roles. Probably best known for his role of Nelson Mandela in the Invictus.

He has won four Golden Globe and four Oscars. Some of the films for example: Invictus, The code, Red,...

MY LAST SUMMER

Hi my name is Quim, I’m 13 and this is a writing about my last summer. First, with my friends Xenia Selelles, Maria Planes, Joan Rigau and mi, we went to Lourdes with Hospitelitat de Girona to help different patients. I shared the room with Joan. I got up to quarter past five, and then I had a shower and went to have breakfast. Then I went to the church or the acts with the patients and the other nurses. Is very beautifully this experience.

Then, I returned to Banyoles and five days later, I took a plane to go to Weymouth for 3 weeks to study English with my brother, Jordi and Marçal and the other people. These was my routine in Weymouth: I got up at 7:00 o’clock, I had a shower and I went to have breakfast. At 8 o’clock I took a bus for to go to school. The lessons start at nine o’clock, and finished at one o’clock. Then, I went to the school’s café and I had lunch the packed lunch, it was very bad. In the afternoon I had funny activities and in the night, I had a night games. On the first Saturday we went to London and the second Saturday, we went to Bormuth. In Sundays it was a family day. I very liked this. I had a great time and I made many friends from around to the world.

 In August, I went to my family’s apartments in St Antoni to relax

ABOUT TV HIGHLIGHTS

The highlight of this week’s TV was definitely the Simpsons. The last episode was the first of the new season. In this episode live a famous fotball team, F.C.Barcelona. It was very funny.

Channel 7’s sport programme: Deportes Cuatro was documentaries about football players or match but I liked this.

Finally, something which also caught my eye was a quiz show, Atrapa un millón. This programme I liked but put me nervous.
